Zapzig — Path Puzzle & Brain Game

Effective date: May 24, 2025

This Privacy Policy describes how NEXTKODE (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information in connection with the Zapzig mobile application (“App”) available on iOS and Android.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Zapzig is designed to be played without creating an account, and all puzzle progress is stored locally on your device. We do not collect, sell, or share personally identifiable information that you directly provide to us.

1. Information We Collect

Zapzig itself does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to play. However, the third-party services integrated into the App may collect certain data automatically as described below.

a) Data Collected Automatically by Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party SDKs that may collect data from your device:

Google AdMob

Used to serve advertisements in the free version of the App. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as advertising ID), IP address, coarse location (derived from IP), device information, and interaction data with ads. This data is used to deliver and measure relevant advertising. Zapzig Pro removes all ads.

AdMob is provided by Google LLC. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.

Firebase Crashlytics

Used to detect, diagnose, and fix crashes and stability issues. Crashlytics collects crash logs, device model, operating system version, and a randomly generated installation identifier. This data is used solely for improving App stability and is not linked to your identity.

Firebase Crashlytics is provided by Google LLC. For more information, see Firebase Privacy Information.

Firebase Analytics

Used to understand how players interact with the App — for example, which puzzle tiers are most used and how daily streaks are built. Firebase Analytics collects anonymised usage events, session duration, device information, and a randomly generated instance identifier. This data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.

Firebase Analytics is provided by Google LLC. For more information, see Firebase Privacy Information.

b) In-App Purchases

Zapzig Pro is available as a one-time in-app purchase. All payment transactions are processed exclusively by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not receive or store your payment card details. The app store provider's privacy policy applies to all purchase transactions.

c) Local Data

Puzzle progress, daily streak, solved levels, settings, and Zapzig Pro purchase status are stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

2. How We Use Information

Data collected through third-party SDKs is used for the following purposes:

  • Displaying and measuring advertisements (AdMob — free version only)
  • Detecting and resolving App crashes and stability issues (Firebase Crashlytics)
  • Understanding aggregate usage patterns to improve the App (Firebase Analytics)
  • Fulfilling and restoring in-app purchases (via app store providers)

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use any data to build individual user profiles or for targeted advertising beyond what AdMob applies based on its own policies.

3. Advertising & Your Choices

The free version of Zapzig displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier to serve personalised ads based on your interests.

You can limit ad personalisation at any time:

  • iOS: Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → turn off “Personalised Ads”. On iOS 14+, you will be prompted for App Tracking Transparency (ATT) consent when you first launch Zapzig. You may deny tracking at that prompt.
  • Android: Go to Settings → Google → Ads → “Opt out of Ads Personalisation” or reset your advertising ID.

Purchasing Zapzig Pro removes all advertisements entirely.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

We do not store personal data on our own servers. Data collected by Firebase (Crashlytics and Analytics) is retained in accordance with Google's Firebase data retention settings — crash reports are retained for 90 days and analytics data for 14 months by default.

To delete all local App data (progress, streak, settings), uninstall the App from your device. For requests related to data held by Google's Firebase services, please contact us at appsupportnextkode@gmail.com and we will assist you.

5. Children's Privacy

Zapzig is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us at appsupportnextkode@gmail.com and we will take steps to delete it.

6. Third-Party Links & Services

This Privacy Policy applies only to the Zapzig App. It does not apply to third-party services or websites linked from the App. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
